Distributed Leadership Many organisations are now predominantly staffed by highly educated 'knowledge workers'; in these environments 'single-point' leadership is not practical, desirable, or sustainable. This means that those in 'positional leadership' roles need to actively facilitate 'distributed leadership' to optimise performance, help secure retention, and facilitate innovation. This doesn't, however, relieve the positional leader of accountability for results.
Craig Henshaw - Principal Our positional leader is a ‘strategic pragmatist’ with a diverse 30+ year career as a Retail Owner/Manager, Acquisitions Editor, Professional Sales Person, Management Consultant, and Sydney Institute of Technology Marketing Lecturer. (He also 'got his hands dirty' as a labourer at the Flemington Markets in Sydney during his educational years.)
As a founding Director of the boutique Workforce Management Group (WMG), he joined the IBM Consulting Group when IBM acquired WMG in 1996. Much of his work at IBM was in the Finance, Banking & Insurance vertical; a sector in which he continues to work extensively.
Craig's areas of expertise include Merger Integration, Organisational Change Management, Program Management, B2B Relationship Systems, and Strategy Development. An enthusiastic traveller, he has worked in Europe and Asia, as well as Australasia.
